Welcome to First Grade
We will not be sending anymore little books home on Tuesdays. Mrs. Barton will listen to the students read their little books on Tuesday, but they will not receive a new one. Please make sure you return your child's book on Tuesday, so Mrs. Barton can get everything organized and put away for next year.
On Tuesday, May 15th, we will have May Crowning at Mass. The 8th graders and 2nd graders are a part of the crowning, but everyone is invited to attend the Mass and crowning of Mary. Mass will begin at 8:30 a.m.
On Wednesday, May 16th, 4th grade will be doing their Indiana History Museum. First grade will get a turn to visit that and learn about some famous people that have lived in Indiana.
On Thursday, May 17th, my nephew, Andrew Alig, is coming to talk to the entire school. Andrew has just completed his second year at Bishop Simon Brute Seminary in Indianapolis. Andrew will talk to the students about his experiences and calling to become a priest.
