Welcome to First Grade
Our school library had computer problems about a week ago. With this problem came a loss of data. If your child has a library book at home, please make sure you return it to school by Wednesday, February 27th. The librarians are busy getting information back into the computer and they need all of the books back to make sure everything is back in the computer. Thank you for your help.
We have been busy working on our polar bear research. The students have been listening to books and information about polar bears. Now we are creating small notebooks to keep track of information we have learned. We will then use those notebooks to help us write a short research report. Hopefully, we will finish these next week and have the on display in the hallway.
There is lots of sickness going around. I have been busy cloroxing desks everyday and lysoling chairs and lockers a couple of times a week to help reduce the germs. I hope it is helping. I also remind the children to cover their mouths and noses when coughing or sneezing. Reminders at home would also greatly help. Hopefully, the flu season will be over soon.
