Weekly Agenda December 11th - December 15th
Reading: This week's phonics will focus on reading and writing words with the long "o" and "u" sounds. This week's high frequency words are: ago, boy, girl, how, old, people. We will practice these words all week and your child will be tested over reading these words on Friday. On Monday and Tuesday we will work on the story Life at Home (pages 74-85). Your child will bring this book home on Monday. On Wednesday and Thursday we will work on the story Long Ago and Now (pages 74-88). Your child will bring this book home on Wednesday. Our comprehension skill will focus on comparing and contrasting. We will have our reading test on Friday.
Math: We will then continue working on chapter 5, which focuses on place value.
Science: We will continue our next unit, which helps the students learn about light energy. We will do several projects as we learn about light.
