Welcome to First Grade
Many of the children are running out of supplies especially pencils and erasers. Please check with your child to see if he/she needs anything.
All Saints Day is quickly approaching on November 1st. The children may dress as a saint again this year, but they may not wear their costumes to church. Your child will need to pack his/her saint costume in his/her backpack and then put it on after church. We will only wear them for a short period of time and then take them off before lunch and recess. The children must wear regular school uniform to school.
Fall Break will be October 22nd through October 26th. Enjoy your time with your children.
I will not be at school on Monday, October 29th. I am attending an all day conference in Indianapolis. Mrs. Barton will be my sub for the day. If you have any messages for your children, please call Michelle in the school office.
We will be having a coat drive right after Fall Break. Please send in any clean, gently used coats, jackets, hats, gloves, or scarves.
We enjoyed a science program today about soil. The students learned what is in soil and the different types of soil. This program is free to us from the Extension Office.
